Code Knitters LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your information responsibly in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This document explains the categories of information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, when you download, install, register with, access, or otherwise use the Playground AI: Photo Generator mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). It also describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand our practices regarding your information and how we treat it. If you do not agree with the terms set out here, please do not download, register with, or use the App. By downloading, installing, registering with, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (see Section 9, "Policy Updates"). Your continued use of the App after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms, so we encourage you to review this policy periodically.

1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our AI services, we collect information that you provide directly, together with data generated through your use of the App and your device.

1.1 User-Generated Content

Photos and Images: Photos and images you upload for AI-powered features, including photo generation, editing, face swap, headshot generation, background removal, generative fill, cartoon effects, photo enhancement, face retouching, image-to-video conversion, and other image and video effects.

Text Prompts: Text descriptions and prompts you submit to our AI models for image and video generation.

Voluntary Submissions: Any additional content or materials you choose to process through the App.

1.2 Device and Analytics Data

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS and the Advertising ID on Android), mobile network information, and hardware model.

Usage and Performance Data: In-app interactions, features accessed, session duration, and crash and error reports.

Network Information: IP address and general connection data.

1.3 Account Information

Information used to create and manage your profile, such as your email address. We collect this only if you choose to provide it by creating an account.

1.4 Analytics Integrations

Google Analytics for Firebase: Measures interaction metrics and usage trends.

Firebase Crashlytics: Detects and logs technical errors and crashes in real time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate, secure, and improve your experience. Specifically, we use it to:

• Generate the AI photos, videos, and visual media you request;
• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot the App's performance and features;
• Protect against technical issues, fraudulent activity, and violations of our Terms of Use;
• Provide customer care and technical support; and
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Our Privacy Commitment: We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your personal information to third parties.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Sharing

The App acts as a unified gateway to advanced third-party artificial intelligence models. To deliver our multi-modal features — including AI photo generation, AI video generation, image editing, face-based effects, and visual filters — your submitted content and the minimum information necessary to process your request are securely transmitted to our AI service providers, which include:

• Google (Gemini)
• OpenAI
• Replicate

Depending on the features you use, the data transmitted may include:

• Text prompts, messages, and the context necessary to generate a response;
• Photos, images, or files you upload for analysis, editing, or generation;
• Images you upload for video generation or effects; and
• Basic technical metadata required to process your request, such as request timestamps, API request identifiers, model selection, and language preferences.

This information is shared with our providers for the sole purpose of processing your requests and returning AI-generated results. We do not use your submitted content for advertising or marketing. Content transmitted to our third-party AI providers is used only to generate your requested result and is permanently deleted from their systems once processing is complete and your result has been delivered.

4. Data Retention and Security

Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to operate the Service and to meet our legal obligations. Content processed by the AI is transient and is not archived beyond the scope of your active session.

Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Please note, however, that no method of digital transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Image, Video, and Face Data

The App offers a range of AI-powered visual features that allow you to upload existing photos or generate entirely new content from text or images. These features include AI photo generation, AI video generation, AI headshot creation, face swap, face retouching, cartoon effects, AI sticker creation, generative fill and erase, background removal and replacement, magic eraser, photo enhancement and upscaling, image-to-video conversion, and various AI photo effects and filters.

When you upload a photo or video that contains a face in order to use any of these features, that content — including any face data it contains — is handled as follows:

What we collect

The photo you upload for processing, including any faces visible within it, solely to perform the feature you selected.

How we use it

Only to produce the specific result you requested. We do not use face data for facial recognition, identity verification, biometric profiling, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering your requested output.

Third-party sharing

Your content is transmitted securely to our AI processing partners, including Google AI models, strictly to generate the result you requested.

Storage and retention

We do not store your uploaded or generated photos and videos on our servers. This content exists only during processing and is removed immediately once your result has been delivered. Our partners likewise do not retain your content after processing is complete.

6. Advertising

The App displays advertisements served by third-party ad networks, including Google Ads. These advertisers may use cookies, device identifiers, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the App in order to deliver interest-based advertising.

Personalized Ads

We and our advertising partners may use your information to serve advertisements that are more relevant to your interests.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). Please note that opting out does not stop ads from appearing; you will continue to see non-personalized ads.

7. Children's Privacy

Playground AI is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take prompt steps to delete it from our systems.

8. Your Rights and Global Compliance
